It’s been quite a minute since you have heard from me, but here we are. Ready to drop a little bit that I’ve learned, and show what God has shown me this week. So, this week God has definitely shown His unconditional love through His children.
Let me give you a bit of a story. So, I brought my hand fishing rod because I love to fish and wanted to try to see if there is an opportunity to fish this coming year. Well, in this I didn’t bring any hooks. I was asking if people thought that they had hooks overseas. Then this sweet Godly lady named Kaitlynn Heil (who I believe is literally prepared for EVERY situation, and could survive the apocalypse with the stuff she carries in her bag), and she took her time and safety pins to make me some hooks. She got her pliers to cut and twist the safety pins into hooks. Her being a vessel for God’s love in something as simple as making hooks for me is such a blessing.
God also gave me the wonderful opportunity to be the “Hype Man” for my squad. I gained a “Certificate in Hype” because I am the fundraising coordinator. I love people and helping them feel God’s love through the Joy God has provided us with. Let it be known that there is a big difference between Joy, and happiness. You can still have Joy in the Lord during hard and trying times, like fundraising the rest of your funds. Please pray for me about this role. It can get stressful looking at numbers all the time, but I know God will provide. His love for us is beyond anything we could ever feel for any other source. Therefore, if I make posts on my blog or my socials about my fellow racers fundraising please be in prayer for them, and ask God if He is calling you to help provide financial support for The Body of Christ fighting alongside me overseas.
Last night we had a party for both Brett, one of our family members, and as a going away party. After the party ended we sat in community and told what God has shown us during training camp and launch. Then, Ari, our squad mentor, said let’s worship. So, then John, our worship coordinator, got his guitar and faithfully followed God by leading us in worship. We worship God for 2 hours. The K Squad, who are headed to Guatemala today (please be in prayer for them as well), joined us in our worship last night. We prayed over them as they prayed over us. We took communion together. We didn’t prepare any of this in advance, but instead followed the Lord. John told us to worship in a Halal worship. Halal is A Hebrew word for crazy exuberant praise. This is equivalent to worshiping like a fool. To dance like David did in 2 Samuel 6:14-22 when he didn’t care what people thought. It was a beautiful display of all of God’s Children giving Praise, Worship, Honor, and Glory to Him.
Please be in a constant state of prayer for the three squads that left today. My squad will be leaving the ATL airport at 4:35 EST and will arrive in Paris, France at 7:05 CEST. It is an 8 hour flight, then we will have a 3 hour layover in Paris until we get on our next plane for a 3 hour flight to get to Bucharest. From Bucharest we will get a ride to a town called Craiova, Romania. More updates on specific ministry, and other details to come. Thanks again for all the support. Much Love!
Such a sweet blog. I love the story about Kaitlynn making you hooks for your fishing line. What a blessing and I really like how you honored her in this blog. Wish we could have joined you in that worship session- soon though!
Loved hearing this. Hope you catch a lot of fish! Love you!, MiMi
