So, as we are beginning to wrap up our month here in Kosovo I have begun to learn something about the 10/40 window (despite Kosovo not actually being inside the 10/40 window.) The 10/40 window is a bit harder for Christians in different ways, but one way that I didn’t think about as hard is fellowship. Obviously if you’re working in a country that is 97-98% Muslim you won’t have many Christians to fellowship with, but even the smallest things that we take for granted are few and far between. We met a beautiful family while in Prizren and we got to have 2 nights where we worshipped through song alongside them. They told us that it was so nice to be able to do this. To worship in English. To be with fellow Christians. To have a night that they got the chance to be filled up with us. They talked about praying for someone to come, so their kiddos could hangout with some Americans and be able to speak in their native language. This family was a God send for my team and the other team staying in Prizren. God is so Good and working in big ways here in Kosovo. Please be in Prayer for Nate and Metta Bauman, and their sweet kiddos, Noah, Josh, and Emma. Pray that the native Kosovo believers in Prizren can begin to learn what to say to show their friends and family who Jesus is. Pray for this ministry to be fruitful. Praise God for having this great family fighting the Good fight!
We just don’t realize how blessed we are to be able to go to Church and worship freely until you read something like this. Prayers for all!!
This is such a sweet blog. I can’t imagine how tough it would be to not be able to worship as you want to with other believers in your native tongue. How generous for you to request prayer for this lovely family and not for yourself!
