One of my favorite past times is to look at God’s beautiful and fascinating creation. Such as, the stars in all their beauty and mystery. Like this beautiful thing is a ball of heat that we can see from millions of millions of miles away. But arguably one of the coolest things is shooting stars. I know that it may be space trash, but its fascinating. Like the pure mystery in how our world runs is beyond me.

You mean to tell me that we have this thing called gravity and the atmosphere that burns things up. It burns them up and ultimately keeps us safe from these things, whether they are ice, rock, or trash. Like nothing else could have created this. It is beyond anything human minds could’ve ever fathom. We couldn’t have thought of these things.

So, in my opinion one of the most beautiful things about God has to be His mystery.

So, Paul (A great mighty warrior for God) even said he needed God’s help to make the Gospel known. He asked in Ephesians 6:19 for people to pray for words to be given to him so he would fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel. Paul, even Paul had to ask God to show him.

Like God is so big and mighty that we humans will NEVER be able to fully understand him. It is beautiful if you ask me. Like how do we know about the Gospel? We are merely human? Because we don’t understand. We can’t understand. We don’t understand love like God does. We don’t understand wisdom like God does. Like one of the most humbling things is knowing we are finite. In knowledge, in life, and in everything.

Galatians 1:11 says “I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.

Knowing this is even more proof that we could never fully understand His wonderful mysteries. Like God gives us knowledge, but we know that we can’t understand God’s infinite love and wisdom. Which is hard for me because I am a man, who LOVES to learn. I want to know it all. From knowing how to garden, to knowing how to play every instrument. But I can’t. I will never be able to know everything. I will continue to learn and strive for more knowledge and wisdom because I 100% believe it is a gift from God to learn. I just have to remind myself that my God is mysterious. And thats okay because I wouldn’t need Him if I knew everything. I am vulnerable. I am nothing without Him, and that makes me whole. He makes me whole.

My prayer is that God would continue to give me the words. That He would continue to guide me. Because I don’t know. I don’t have the knowledge. Without Him I’m nothing. How do I be most effective in sharing the gospel? Pray for God to speak to me. Pray for God to show me and light the way. I have it on good authority that “Thy word is a lamp for my feet, and a light unto my path.” We have to stop getting in God’s way. We jump in expecting what WE want from life what WE need. When God knows what HE wants from our lives, and what He KNOWS we need.

Continue to pray for my team and the missionaries we are gonna serve with. This is a big step, but not my will but His will. As Paul said to pray for words to be given to us so we may fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.

Heavenly Father, less of me, more of you. This is my prayer. Help me to lay myself aside for You and Your will.

One response to “What Do You Know?”

  1. I have been reflecting on how blessed that God shares his mysteries with us. Cool that you appreciate that too. I also love how you love to learn. That is a value that is very near and dear to my heart. Braden, it is going to be sooo good. And you are going to learn so much!
